  1. As I remember it. There was a Sunday night dance party going on that night and the band had to get on and off early. It must have been a three martini lunch...maybe glue. Alex Chiton was in heavy rotation on the mainstream radio and the "children by the million" wanted to hear Alex Chilton. Many in attendence were not familiar with the band or the fact that on a given night were more "aching to bleed" than eager to please, which more than a few in the crowd were willing to do.
After about 3-4 songs in,looks turned from uneasy amusement to smoldering animosity as if your unseen newly bought car just rolled out scratched, dented and very dirty. Should have looked under the hood.
Many left vowing never to return........until the dance party later.
The music was genius and the performances were most times art.
    This was hilarious.
    Long live Michigan J Frog!!!!!

  2. They were on fire this night. The Recording is great too. The band sounds tight for the most part, and solid throughout
