  1. So cool to find this! I attended this show. Opening for Tom Petty on the Full Moon Fever tour. I was working a college internship at IBM in Poughkeepsie NY the summer of ‘89. It was a very strange set up, we were standing on the race track looking up at the stage on the infield. I do remember thinking it was the best I’d seen the Replacements. Every other time I’d seen them in Seattle, they either fell off the stage, puked or just quit. At the time I was borrowing a friends car in NY that only had a tape deck and the only tape I had was Let It Be by the Mats. It played constantly in the car all summer. I was pretty stoked to hear I Will Dare and Answering Machine. Knocking on Heavens Door was also a pleasant surprise. Anyway, thanks for posting!

  2. Nice show! And while it may not have the best sound of the tour, it's definitely way more listenable than a lot of the early shows. (With the obvious trade off being you lose a lot of the reckless abandon of those shows)
